If you are tired to inspect the natural and architectural attractions and castles seem to like each other and do not surprise, the Moravian-Silesian Region can offer a visit to the military fortifications, created not so long ago - before the start of the Second World War. One of these systems is in the fortified-Hlucin Darkovičky and is a segment along the border, which, in the opinion of the Czechoslovak Government of the time, ought to guard with special care. Fort near Moravian Ostrava was the first structure of this kind during the First Republic. During construction engineers have only created a plan for such buildings, which can now be seen in many places of the Moravian-Silesian region.

Strengthening in Hlučín-Darkovičky consists of a system of trenches and several infantry bunker - MO-S18, S19, S20. Also here you can see a light DOT - Model 37A. These structures are preserved from 1935-1938 years in relatively good condition. To ensure proper care of them and protect them from damage that can provide people, it was decided to transform this part of the former defense system in the museum. Today area in Hlučín-Darkovičky is run by the Silesian Municipal Museum, so there are qualified guides, which are very interesting to talk about the history of a difficult period, when there were these fortifications and guarding the fort. This war memorial is also interesting that anyone can try on the role of defender of the border, armed with a weapon, of course, a hoax, and try to hit the target. Children, especially boys, from visiting this fort will be delighted!
