The memorial complex "Buinichi field" was opened on 9 May 1995 in honor of the 40th anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany. The memorial complex is located at the site of fierce fighting for the defense of Mogilev in 1941. Construction of the memorial complex was held under the creative direction of the architects V. Chalenko and OP Baranovsky.
The total area of the memorial complex is 22 hectares. Home dominant - red chapel, inside which immortalized the names of the heroes who died in the battles for Mogilev. The chapel is built of red brick in the traditions of the Belarusian temple architecture and is a symbol of mourning and eternal memory of the fallen heroes of the war. Under the chapel is the crypt with those found on the battlefield remains nameless warriors.
By the chapel are four avenues. One of them starts from the front a red arch, which placed an appeal board to posterity. Another walkway leads to Lake of Tears - a symbol of maternal tears shed over their dead sons. In the middle of the lake there is an island, which is the bridge. A third walkway leads to the Stone writer Simon with the dictum: "All his life he remembered the battlefield 1941 and bequeathed to dispel his ashes here." During the battle for Mogilev young Konstantin Simonov was a war correspondent, and saw everything with my own eyes. Later, his memories are reflected in the work of the writer. Fourth alley called Avenue of the Defenders. Near it is a memorial stone with the inscription: "Avenue of the defenders of Mogilev."
The modern Republic of Belarus - a young country, remembering and worshiped those to whom it owes its existence. There respected veterans and care for them. On Buinichi field meetings are held the younger generation with the few veterans who are still alive, conducted lessons of courage, celebrates the day of the Great Victory.
