St. Stanislaus Church - a monument of medieval architecture. There is an ancient legend, which describes the foundation of the church. I lived in Mogilev brutal and lawless nobleman Lyubuzh Zenkovich. He and his entourage beat and robbed the people that it was fun for him. The townspeople so much angry at gentleman that killed him right on the doorstep of the chapel, where he hoped to find salvation. For this transgression King Jan Sobieski led the townspeople to build the unprecedented beauty of the cathedral for the monks of the Order of Discalced Brothers of the Blessed Virgin Mary from their homes and brick kilns. Interestingly, the archaeological findings confirm the veracity of the legend. The cathedral is really built of different-sized bricks and stones, some of them clearly furnace.

In the years 1738-1752 the church was rebuilt. He acquired the features of classicism. On the facade there was a portico with columns and triangular pediment. In 1789 in Mogilev visited the Empress Catherine II, who so loved the church that she decided to make it a cathedral. Carmelite monks were simply expelled from the country.

The most valuable thing in the church of St. Stanislaus - frescoes. They were written at different times and therefore have a different intensity. More vivid colorful murals - later in time, dimmer - earlier.

Of particular note is the body of the church. It was installed in 1912. His feature - a rare ceramic tube. Bodies of similar design, there are only four worldwide. The unique acoustics of the church creates an unprecedented sound effects. The church often hold concerts of classical and church organ music.
