Mogilev Regional Art Museum named after Maslennikov opened November 19, 1990. January 22, 1996 the museum was named Belarusian artist, painter, art critic Pavel Vasilyevich Maslennikov.
Under the museum it was allocated to the building - a monument of architecture of the XX century, built in the style of Russian Art Nouveau. Previously, it was located department of peasant land bank. After the revolution, in the room of the bank it opened the first national museum of proletarian culture, and then - the historical museum, which has existed in this building until 1932.
The museum's collection consists of works of realist art XVII-XIX centuries, as well as the ancient Belarusian icons. But the main pride of the museum is a collection of works of Belarusian artists VK Byalynitsky-Birulya V. Kudrevich A. Barhatkova V. Gromyko Bialynicka M., P. Maslennikov, Leonid Marchenko N.
