Wańkowicz House - an old noble family manor, built in the classical style in the late XVII early XIX century. The estate is located in the historic center of Minsk on the street internationally. The house is connected with the life and works of the Belarusian artist portrait Valentia Vankovich.
Valenty William Vankovich born May 12, 1800. In its short life (the artist lived for only 42 years), he had become famous not only in the Russian Empire, but also abroad. His work has been exhibited in the finest European showrooms, including in Paris.
Manor Wańkowicz was heavily damaged during the Soviet era, but the beginning of a new time in the history of Belarus, and the revival of interest in the national culture, has been reconstructed. House-manor was re-opened for the 200th anniversary of Valentia Vankovich in 2000.
The reconstruction has been fully restored gated separating the estate from the city streets and the lodge manager, from which only the foundation remained. This is now the lodge chamber concerts, music contests and other events of cultural life of Minsk.
