Before the most popular place in Marianske Lazne - the openwork colonnade Maxim Gorky - an architectural marvel located now causing rave reviews from everyone, without exception, travelers - singing fountain.

This huge pool whose outer diameter is 20 meters, decorated with original sculpture, depicting a stone flower with curved petals. Around you can see flower stylized bubbles that resemble those that usually occur on the water during rain. It is because of them pulled out a jet of water to the accompaniment of one of 10 classical works. Here you can hear Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, as well as more modern music, which, however, has long been recognized as a classic. For example, this can be attributed to the music of Ennio Morricone. Fountain runs continuously, but the music sounds at intervals of two hours. The first presentation begins at 7:00 and the last - at 22.00. There was a fountain right in the center of Marianske Lazne in 1986, when the ambitious architect Paul Mikshik offered their services to the city and began to work on the reconstruction of the colonnade. Then he received an order for the installation of three fountains, the first of which became a singing fountain.

When the fountain was finished, its creators have thought of the first melody, under which it could work. Especially for the inauguration of the fountain famous Czech composer Pavel Hapka wrote his work. Since then, the tone for the fountain changed many times.
