On the cliff above the bay of the city at an altitude of 113 meters above sea level rises a Gothic castle. It was built in XIII-XIV centuries as the summer residence of King Jaime II.

Three fortified tower built into the wall, and the fourth stands alone and is connected by a covered walkway to the wall. Along the perimeter of the central courtyard of the castle runs a gallery with graceful arches.
