Church of St. Dominic is one of the most beautiful churches in the city of Macau. It is located in the historic center of the city, at the Senate Square.

Church of St. Dominic is built in the 17th century by the Spanish Dominican monk. While the basic material for its construction was a tree, and the facade was richly decorated with carvings and ornaments. The architecture of the church is notable because it is well combined mixture of the two styles - Spanish and Portuguese.

In 1828, the church of St. Dominic was rebuilt in stone, with stone blocks at the entrance. Inside the church there are three naves. Login adorns the stone arch and the walls of the church are divided into three levels, each of the levels decorated with columns of different styles of execution. The ceiling of the church was painted by hand and is replete with decorative patterns. Above the altar is the image of the crown, and on top of the altar - the icon of Our Lady of Fatima. Next to it is a statue of St. Catherine and St. Dominic. The church interior is decorated with richly carved mirrors, paintings and polychrome sculptures.

In the sacristy is kept more than three hundred precious objects: a collection of silver, gold and copper utensils, wooden icons, statues of Jesus Christ, as well as clothing of priests and pictures of biblical scenes. The most famous of the paintings - "St. Augustine". In the belfry are bronze bells, the oldest in the city of Macau.

In recent years, the church of St. Dominic has become a favorite venue for music festivals Macau. In 2005, UNESCO included it in the World Heritage List.
