House-Museum Vincent Fields - a museum devoted to the work of the Polish writer and poet, ethnographer and geographer, professor of the Jagiellonian University of Vincent Paul. Neoclassical building, built in the late eighteenth century, is located in the north-eastern part of Lublin.
The building was built in 1810, the father of the writer - Francis Xavier Paul. Later, when the family moved to the city, the house was sold. However, in 1860 the house was returned to the family of the writer as a gift from the people of the city and Lublin region. A museum dedicated to the life and work of Vincent Paul, was inaugurated on December 2, 1972 - in the hundredth anniversary of his death.
In an old family mansion, you can get acquainted with the biography of the poet, to see the work related to research in the field of geography and ethnography, to get acquainted with Vincent Paul manuscripts, personal photographs and family heirlooms. The museum gives an idea of the character of the writer, his views and surroundings.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum holds temporary exhibitions on literature, history, geography and the arts. One of the last was dedicated to temporary exhibitions images of nature in the works of artists. The purpose of the exhibition - to show different forms and visions of nature masters: picturesque landscapes, realistic landscapes, as well as talk about how artists raise questions about the nature of man and the world.
