Križanke Church, also called the Church of Mary Help is located next to the summer theater Križanke. The Teutonic Order was located in the southwestern part of the city, which is now the area of the new bankers, and at the beginning of the XIII century built a monastery and church. The only surviving part of the Teutonic buildings - the famous relief from the main entrance of the church depicting the Madonna Krakow, created between 1265 and 1270 years. Now the terrain is kept in the National Gallery.

The modern church was built in 1714-1715 gg. under the direction of Domenico Rossi, one of the leading Venetian architects of the time, which is indicative of the fact that the only church of the Crusaders in the province of Carniola was of the utmost importance not only for the Crusaders but also for the Viennese royal court, which equipped the new church furnishings and decorations. The side altars were painted by royal artist Martin and Anton Skunyansom Altomone. Painting work of Jonathan Michael Rotmayra on the main altar, which is burned in the XIX century, in 1859 it was replaced by a list of the Viennese painter Hans Canon.

The ensemble of the monastery mnogazhdy rebuilt in the mid-twentieth century architect Jože Plečnik turned it into an outdoor theater. It is traditionally held the Summer Festival, and in the courtyard of the Knights' concerts of chamber music.
