The architecture of the church has united different styles: Old Russian, Roman, Gothic and traditional Armenian. At the same time the church bell tower was built, but during the siege of Lviv, it was burned by the Turks, but was later restored.

From 1631 to 1671 years, the Armenian Cathedral was rebuilt and expanded. In 1723, the church changed appearance: stone and brick masonry walls plastered closed, and in 1731 was attached to the north side of the sacristy. Near the temple was built a chapel.

At the end of XIV - early XV centuries the interior of the church were decorated with frescoes, executed in the style of old Russian painting. Some of them have survived.

The monastery courtyard on the north wall of the cathedral on the opposite side of the building limits of Armenian Benedictine monastery, built in 1682.
