Kuressaare Town Hall

Kuressaare Town Hall was built in 1654-1670 years. The building was constructed at the initiative of the Swedish Count Magnus Gabriel de la Gardie. Hall made the baroque Nordic countries, which is characterized by simple and strict forms, but at the same time gives the impression of grandeur and solidity. Hall Decoration - sculpted portal with the date "1670". The biggest ceiling painting in Estonia is here and decorates the second floor of City Hall.

The building is thoroughly permeated with the spirit of the Middle Ages, which is able to save thanks to restoration. In its original form the building was restored in the 1970s.

Today in the town hall is a gallery and a tour desk. A meal, plunged into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages, it is possible here, dine in the restaurant, which occupies the basement of Town Hall.
