Immediately after the end of World War II in the city of Kromeriz, at the direction of Archbishop Andrew, it was decided to build a new Orthodox church. Its construction lasted several years - from 1946 to 1948. A small elegant church was consecrated by the names of Saints Cyril and Methodius, considered a great educators and disseminators of Christianity in the Slavic lands.

The church in the Byzantine style decorated with low turret with a dome-onion dome. The facade is decorated in white and yellow colors that give the appearance of the whole Church of grandeur and solemnity. By the entrance is a wide staircase.

The church was erected to remind of the victims during the war, Christians and killed by fascists bishop of Czech and Moravian much. This person was executed in 1942, as the group helped the Patriots, encroached on the life of Heydrich. After the death of the brave partisans Bishop Gorazd took the blame for harboring them for the salvation of his flock. His feat has not been forgotten, in honor of the fearless bishop recognized by the martyrs and saints, to build churches, services are held, I remember him simple people ...

The church is easy to find: it is located in the heart of the city on Slavyanskaya Square. Temple doors hospitably open to all guests. Inside you can see traditional for Orthodox churches interior. However, the church is different from others in that there are stored the relics of St. Apostle Andrew, St. Czech John, St. Ludmila, St.. Maxim the Greek and some other saints.
