The museum "Victory Memorial" located in the historic part of the city and, together with the adjacent area of ​​the Victory, constitute a single ensemble. The author of this project was the People's Architect of Russia A. Demirkhanov. The memorial complex was erected for the 30th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The opening of the memorial dedicated to the Siberians-of Krasnoyarsk, held in May 1975 on the opening day in the town square, right in front of the Memorial, Hero of the Soviet Union, a veteran of World War II, DD Martynov lit "Eternal Flame".

In all the years of its existence, the museum was rebuilt several times. For example, in 1975, it consisted only of the Hall of Remembrance, where the death toll in the Great Patriotic War of Krasnoyarsk. The central part of the hall was decorated with a circular panorama "Grieving Mother", which made the Krasnoyarsk artist Dmitry Grigorovich. In 1985, the memorial built a exhibition hall, here today presented exhibits on the events of 1941-1945 .: samples of different weapons, soldier's equipment, personal belongings of soldiers, letters and documents of wartime. Here it is one of the working versions of the monument, which was performed by the architect K. Krasnoyarsk Zinich "Siberians - the defenders of Moscow." A little later were erected monuments in honor of the soldiers killed in local wars in peacetime, the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, as well as victims of Stalinist repression.

In 2000, the memorial was renovated again - a building erected on the roof of the dome and the walls are stoned plates with marble chips. Five years later, in the 60th anniversary of the Victory, was attached to the construction of the guest room. Currently, there are annually held meeting of war veterans, organized the festivities, various exhibitions and even a wedding ceremony.

Today, the museum can be seen 20 paintings depicting the monumental objects, the most famous monuments in the hero cities where fighting Siberian Division.
