Communal bridge in the city of Krasnoyarsk - a car-pedestrian bridge across the Yenisei River, which is one of the most famous buildings of the Soviet period.

The decision on the construction of the bridge was made in January 1940, the Executive Board of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Council. However, because of the war, the bridge construction began only in 1956, the grand project of the bridge in the alignment of the street Weinbaum was designed by Leningrad architects PA Egorov and KK Ivashov. The operation of the building was handed over in 1961, but public for the movement of the bridge began only a month after he had passed all the necessary tests. At that time it was a record time of construction, and builders themselves, who were engaged in the erection of the bridge, were awarded the Lenin Prize. Using a new technology for the construction of the Soviet Union and the closure of the bridge arches without insurance to supports will greatly reduce the amount of funds for the construction, as well as to make the process shorter erection.

The supports for the bridge were made in 1956-1957. on caissons without special vymorozki mines. The construction is made of precast concrete and consists of two bridges, a length of 940 m and 410 m. These bridges are separated by a dam across the island vacation. The total height of the bridge - 26 m, width - 23, 4 m, length of the bridge with the approach and the dam is 2300 m.

Communal Bridge over the Yenisei River has become a real decoration of the city of Krasnoyarsk and is known throughout the world as a unique example of the late Stalinist empire. Today the bridge is limited to areas: on the right bank of the Yenisei River - bridgehead, and on the left bank - Theatre. Now the bridge is held on a communal 6 lanes.

The bridge offers a breathtaking view of almost the entire city. Especially beautiful bridge looks at night when it is illuminated by thousands of tiny lights.
