Memorial to the Victims of Fascism is in the park, "Chistyakov Grove", which is the most visited by tourists of "green" zone in Krasnodar and is located in the northern part of the city. The sculptural composition was opened in 1975 on the day of the thirtieth anniversary of the victory over fascism, and it is one of the many monuments that have been preserved from the Soviet era and are confined to round dates victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to historical records, before the monument had been in place anti-tank ditches, where the fascists threw off the bodies of dead people, who were gassed or died from the terrible torture.

The composition displayed the Great Patriotic War and perpetuate the memory of Krasnodar thirteen thousand civilians who were killed during the Nazi terror. Thirteen green squares, which are part of the complex, symbolize this terrifying figure.

The sculpture is a collective image of the whole people of Krasnodar, it is possible to recognize the figure of the soldier and the old man, and there is a young boy and a little girl. Marble slab contains engraved inscription: "Remember, remember, remember, folks. The killer's name - fascism! ". The project of the monument designed by sculptor IP Shmagunov and architect I. Golovarevym.
