House Museum Ataman Fedor Bursak in Krasnodar - one of the few buildings where maximum preservation of appearance and internal layout of the rich Cossack house 200 years ago. There is another similar house belonging to the Cossack Ataman Ya Kukharenko. Both houses are small, one-story, quite similar to the palaces Atamans XIX-XX centuries. And this is their historical value. For Ekaterinoslav (formerly called Krasnodar), beginning of XIX century. such modest by our standards, the house is considered a real mansion.

House F .  M .  Bursak was built next to the castle, and markedly different from others squat little houses .  The wooden house with a beautiful porch, decorated with columns, and even family coat of arms on the front - such housing could allow himself a wealthy Cossack .  A seminarian Fedor was not just the rich Cossack - it was famous Ataman Kuban .  Future Ataman was born to a Ukrainian priest in 1750 .   He studied at the Kiev seminary, but in 1764 .  I ran away from there and enlisted as a private in the Zaporizhzhya Cossack army, received the nickname Bursak .  He took part in the Russian-Turkish war of 1768-1774 .  and bravery in the battles in the Crimea, in the capture of fortresses Ochakov and Gadzhibey was presented an award by Suvorov, he received the rank of Captain .  He took part in the coronation of Paul I .  In 1800 .  he was granted the rank of chieftain of the Black Sea Cossack troops .  For diligence in the civil service and progress in reconciliation surrounding Kuban savage tribes, for the hard diplomatic work he was awarded the Order of St. .  Anna 1 st and 2 nd degree .  In 1816 . Received a major-general, has resigned .  His welcoming home visiting Generals Yermolov and Rajewski, poets Pushkin and Lermontov, the Decembrists .  In 1827 .  he drowned in the river Kuban .
