In the northern part of the old Kotor is another structure that attracts the attention of not only ordinary tourists, but also those who are interested in the history of Orthodoxy - is the church of St. Nicholas. Construction of the church began in 1902 on the foundation of the burned buildings, the construction was completed in 1909 - the date of completion of the imprinted on the front of the building. The project worked famous architect of the temple Chorill Ivekovich.

Built in Byzantine style, with a single nave, with two bell towers on the main facade of the church is visible from the great city wall, which is close to its borders. Inside the premises of the temple seems to be quite spacious, it impresses with its richness and beauty of the iconostasis, which ended in 1908, to register. Church of St. Nicholas is known for a large collection of icons, one of them - a list of the icon of the Theotokos "Three Hands", which was especially revered Serbs. The church also houses many church documents and books, art objects, vestments and other valuables, which were donated to the church, mostly wealthy Kotor families.

St. Nicholas Church - the only Orthodox church in Kotor, where divine services are performed daily. In this church you can buy unusual candles - they are so thick that they need to impale on the rod.

In 2009, the Church of St. Nicholas in Kotor celebrated its centenary. To this date it coincided with complete restoration of the building - the indigenous people who wanted to see the temple in all its grandeur and beauty.
