Annunciation Church - one of the oldest wooden churches in Ukraine, located in the suburb of Kosovo, in the village of Old Kosovo.

Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was founded in the village Verboets somewhere at the end of the XVI century, but not before 1579. At that time there was not a single village Verbovets, it means both the village and the town Koshev Koshev in which the number one priest.

In 1699, in the place which has long been consecrated by the priest there - father Nikorakom, a new church was built. Built temple had three domes, and was lined with shingles. Inspector-General in 1745 noted: "the church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, though old, but is not a bad view of the truth requires repair the roof, which has already been allocated eight thousand shingles, which were purchased on the shafts."

In 1850, residents of the two villages of Old Verbovets Kosovo and the joint efforts of the whole community collected money and hired master I. Lavruka that with the help of the residents, as well as under the guidance of the priest J. Valyavskogo during the year built a temple. In 1853 it was built a new church present.

Today the Church of the Annunciation is almost completely covered with tin, which does not allow to fully appreciate all the skills of architects.
