Bobrenev monastery is located near Kolomna was founded, according to legend, Prince Dmitry Donskoy and his warlord D.M.Bobrokom-Volyn, after the victory of Kulikovo. Facilities in those years have not been preserved, as in the XVIII century the monastery was rebuilt - the monastery became the country residence of the bishops of Kolomna.

At the end of the XVIII century it was built without columns Baroque Cathedral Nativity of the Virgin. Its belfry is made in the traditional architectural style of the XVII century. Later, a winter Theodore Church (built in 1860), and a year later - in secret and urgent housing. Stone fence with towers in the style of pseudo-Russian, also built in the late XVIII century.

From the south gate, made in the form of a triumphal arch, a picturesque panorama of the Moskva River and the surrounding area.

The monastery was finally abolished in 1930, its structure given to the farm, and then abandoned. Newly opened in 1992.
