Trikeri - a small mountain village in the southwestern part of the picturesque Greek Pelion, 81 km from the administrative center of the nome of Magnesia - Volos. The town is conveniently located on the top of a steep rocky hill, at an altitude of 450 m above sea level and offers fantastic panoramic views of the bay and Pelion Pagassiysky.

The settlement was founded around the beginning of the 17th century tried to find refuge in the mountains of Pelion (due to the constant threat of pirate raids) residents of the nearby island Palaio Trikeri (Old Trikeri). In the late 18th - early 19th century Trikeri had one of the largest merchant fleets in the region, which later took an active part in the Greek revolution.

Today Trikeri - authentic Greek village with narrow cobbled streets, beautiful old mansions and temples. This is a great place for those who wish to rest in peace away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy over this Greece.

Among the main attractions of Trikeri is worth mentioning the church of St. Athanasius Church of Agia Anargyroi and the church of Agia Triada. Meet with the local tradition, you can visit the local cultural events. Large-scale mass celebrations and grand festivities with music, dancing and refreshments will certainly take place in Trikeri at Easter and May 1st.

Always worth a visit and is located just 4 km from the port of the settlement Trikeri - a nice fishing village of Agia Kyriaki. Here, in one of the cozy taverns you can taste the excellent local cuisine, the menu is represented by a fairly wide range of dishes from fresh fish and seafood. You can also take a small boat trip and visit the island of Palaio Trikeri.

Until the 70s of the last century to get to Trikeri was only possible by sea.
