Museum "Volvo" is located in the industrial zone of the Swedish city of Gothenburg, near Arendal on the island of Hisingen, about 10 kilometers west of the city center of Gothenburg. The museum tells the story of the company "Volvo", the leading manufacturer of vehicles in Sweden, the very first and modest models to modern, and, moreover, future models.
One of the first exhibits that open eyes museum visitor, a wooden frame chassis earlier model "Volvo". The museum's exhibits are not limited to cars, here represented by the engine to the tank, made "Volvo" for the needs of the Swedish army, you can see the gas turbine engines and aircraft produced for aerospace forces of the country, and there are tractors and other heavy machinery. Pretty great interest is the unusual design, such as concept cars "Tandem", rather narrow double vehicles in which the driver sits in front of the passenger, as in the present fighter, or the model of the car, designed by women for women.
As for the concept of the future, then there "Volvo" is a model to the visitors, who at the time of its establishment ahead of time, for example, the model 1983 «LCP 2000". She does not have the visual appeal, but it was designed to run on various fuels, including pure vegetable oil.
