This giant complex on the area equal to the Palace of Versailles, was built in 1936. Since 1946 the building houses the United Nations, the successor to the League of Nations was established in Geneva in 1920. You can view the ceremonial rooms where the negotiations took place between the leading world powers and concluded many international agreements. The palace is surrounded by a picturesque park.
