Park "Cardin" - the main public park in the southern city of Geelong. There is a number of sites for various sports: the main stadium of the Australian Football League, the auxiliary soccer stadium, field cricket, outdoor swimming pool, playground for netbol, various sports clubs and the Centre for people of retirement age.

Park "Cardin" was created in 1872. Originally known as the "Plain Chilvell", he occupied an area of 24 hectares. By 1911, the park had two football stadiums, one - on the west side, and the other - on the east. In 1941 the Geelong Football Club has used the east stadium for their games, as its home field, stadium Corio, was occupied by the military. Interestingly, today the stadium is administered by Corio military units.

In the mid-1960s, the park was opened a swimming pool complex in the open air, which, however, is only in the warmer months of the year. Just a complex of five swimming pools, one for infants kids one - for older children, two 50-meter pool with eight lanes and a pool for diving with springboards at the height of 1 and 3 meters. In the 1980s, the complex was added to the water slides, which also operates in the summer months only. There are often held swimming competitions at various levels. In 2005, the complex carried out large-scale repairs, costing the city $ 4, 4 million.
