The ancient castle Brandys nad Labem is situated in Central Bohemia near Prague. To get to the town of the same name is very simple: to Prague there is a regular bus service. Castle towers over the majestic river Elbe and differs unusual decor, combines Renaissance and neo-Gothic features.

City and later the castle appeared in these places because it was necessary to control the strategically important crossing of the Elbe. The date of foundation of the city is the XIII century, the castle was built 100 years later. The first owner of the castle was a rich nobleman Yang, who arrived here from Michałowice. Its task was to build a fortress that could withstand a siege of the enemy troops.

Test the strength of the lock was successful. Fortress survived the attack of the army of John of Luxembourg. Lord of Michalowice very much appreciated his residence and did not intend to part with it. The castle remained the property of the family even after the death of the last male in the family.
