Tiergarten Park was founded in 1830 as a landscaped park. Berlin Zoo is part of the park. This is one of the oldest zoos in Germany.

Beautifully decorated open-air cages separated from the visitors by moats of water. A glass wall in the pool for hippos allows visitors to observe the animals, not only outdoors, but also under water. In a huge aquarium you can see sharks and piranhas. The zoo has a terrarium and a monkey.
