The initiator of the monument was made by the owner of the nearby leisure club, bearing the name of the actor. The author of this work was the architect Edward Dobrowolski, depicting a scene from the famous movie called "Circus" in 1928.
The composition consists of three figures: Charlie Chaplin, fleeing from the evil police officer who holds the baton in his hand, and the lady standing next to the old regime appearance, which imperiously raised his hand and takes the whole picture in the camera.
According to the story, the main character, Charlie Chaplin appeared in a circus troupe accident and not to become a star. Just running away from the bad cop, he happened to be in the circus ring, having made such a sensation that the director of the circus had no choice but to offer Chaplin act in circuses.
