Of old-Pomeranian Old Believer church in Barnaul - is one of the iconic sights of the city. It is located next to the river station on Chekhov Street, on the left bank of the river Barnaulka, just east of the square Bavarin. The church was consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Blessed Virgin of the Old Believers-pomortsev.

Old church Barnaul community was closed in the 1930s .. After some time, the church was completely destroyed. In the future, the service took place in the adapted building. However, in 1997 the city authorities decided to transfer Barnaul Pomor community of two-story brick house, built in the early twentieth century. But unfortunately, this building was in disrepair.

Previously, the building belonged to the Old Believers Pomortsev, an employee at one of the city's factories control. By the mid-1990s. building of old-Pomeranian Old Believer church was almost completely destroyed, only walls. As a result, the church settled people of no fixed abode, who staged here on fire. The church has come to a complete desolation, ceilings collapsed, its territory became overgrown with weeds. It was in such a terrible form of city government transferred the temple community. Soon the church building began reconstruction work.

The restoration of the church was carried out on funds that were collected by the community itself. The house was partially renovated in the Baroque architectural style.
