Church of St. John the Divine, located in Barnaul Shumakova the street - this is one of the most important and beautiful sights of the city.

The establishment of the Orthodox community in Barnaul happened in 1996. Ministries were held in a temporary building. However, in 2003 the local authorities decided to build a stone church. Funds for the construction of the church were donated by the parishioners, residents and local businesses. The development project involved Priest George Kreydun, I. and K. Timofeyev brave. The two-story stone building of the church done in the style of Russian Orthodox architecture. The decoration of the church are the five golden domes and many decorative items.
