Reserve Bayuvi-Dupka

"Bayuvi-Dupka-Dzhindzhiritsa" - the famous nature reserve, which is part of the Bulgarian National Park "Pirin". This area was declared a protected area in 1934 with a view to preserving rare forest of black and white pine Balkans, as well as to maintain a variety of other animal and plant species found in the area.

Like many other nature reserves in Bulgaria "Bayuvi-Dupka" protected by the program "Man and Biosphere" (UNESCO).

This reserve is located between the tops of Banska Suhodol and Pirin also includes area Konyarnika peaks Razlog-Suhodol, Kamenititsa, Seg-Tepe, and Okada Valley Biala River. The reserve area is 2873 hectares.

In this area grows about 500 species of plants, some of them are included in the Bulgarian Red Book, in addition to many European and worldwide program to protect the environment. This is not surprising, because after "Bayuvi-Dupka" passes the tourist route from the Pyrenees to the Peloponnese. Route holds a portion of the park "Pirin" where is "Bayuvi-Dupka."
