Historical Museum of Balchik was opened in 1937, the museum building is near the city's Ethnographic Museum. The exposition was based on artifacts found Karel Sheopilom, experienced archaeologist in 1907.
The life of the museum can be divided into two stages: before 1940, while Balchik was under Romanian occupation, and after, when most of the exhibits were evacuated to Romania. Today, the museum exhibited the finds collected after 1940.

Among the fragments of the sanctuary have been deciphered inscriptions 27 and restored the image, dedicated to the goddess Cybele.
