At 70 kilometers from Astrakhan in the village Altynzhar is a monument of culture of the Kazakh people - the mausoleum and museum complex dedicated to the well-known Kazakh kuishi - writer and performer works for domra, Kurmagazy Sagyrbaevu.

The pride of the Kazakh culture was born in 1819 in the family of a poor shepherd. Kurmangazy complex thorny Sagyrbayev lived a life full of trials and oppression by those in power, knew the hatred of the ignorant and envious cold damp casemates. His many years of wandering in the Kazakh expanses, communication with the representatives of many nations have found their expression in the great works for domra, which he owned in perfection. In 2003, with the joint participation of Russia and Kazakhstan began construction of a cultural complex and a modern building of the museum, and now the new complex is an architectural ensemble of three buildings, simulating large white tent, and a huge hotel complex.
