The highest peak of the mountain massif of Durmitor - a Bobotov Cook, who, in addition, is also the highest point in Montenegro. This peak rises to the height at 2522 meters. If the weather is clear and calm, then it overlooks almost the opposite end of the country, for example, an array of Serbian Kopaonik or Mount Lovcen.
The first ascent to the top of this has been made and recorded in 1883. Today, such a rise is not professional climbers any difficulty except that enjoys great popularity among tourists. There are two routes for climbing the top: the first is about five and a half hours and passes through the primeval forest on the outskirts of Zabljak, and to the Black Lake, and the second - about 2 hours and begins at the pass "saddle" at an altitude of 1960 m.
The second way is easier and why it selects the bulk of tourists. To get to the pass can be using a bicycle or car from Zabljak. Those tourists who have decided to go the long route, have to leave the hotel to climb no later than 6 o'clock in the morning.
The best time to raise is July-September. In June, many sites still snow, and in October the weather changes dramatically, can be unpredictable and have kept cold enough.
It is important to carry a small kit with equipment, which should be water, some food, trekking boots, rain jacket, sunscreen and a hat. One way the length of the route is about 9 km, and the height difference is approximately 1 km 2.
Many tourists say that all the difficulties associated with the rise in the Bobotov Cook quickly offset that panorama and mountain scenery that can be seen from the top. From the ridge seen Durmitor massif Prokletije, Zabljak, Tara Canyon, Shkrchko lake.
At the foot of the mountain is a small restaurant that greets visitors on the way back, offering a snack, relax and share experiences.
Mount Cook Bobotov - it is a safe and very picturesque mountain during the ascent on which everyone can feel like a mountaineer, a real climber, experience with the huge amount of thrills. All of this leads to the popularity of the mountain among fans of mountain tourism.
