The Royal Route connects the Royal Castle with a summer residence in Łazienki. Lazienki - meaning "baths". Their story begins with a wooden castle of Mazovian princes. 300 years later, in the XVI century, there lived Anna Jagiellon, the wife of the Stefan Batory Foundation; when it appeared here the first wooden swimming pool. Sigismund III Vasa in 1623 built a luxury Ujazdowski Palace. Then here hosted Marshal Stanislaw Lubomirski he built near the palace, in the forest, two small pavilions - Hermitage and Lazne. King Stanislaw August Poniatowski rebuilt the palace and forest undergrowth turned into the park, giving Lazienki modern look.
