The first mention of the church of the Archangel Michael refer to the end of the 15th century. Other information related to 1772 - when the church was built of wood and had two throne. The main altar was consecrated in honor of the Archangel Michael and the chapel dedicated to Catherine the Great.
Today, the appearance of the former church has not survived, because its existence sank on the night of the 6th to the 7th of December 1812. The church is almost completely burned, but still preserve the sacred Antimins, which was consecrated and signed by March 25, 1772, Metropolitan Gabriel.

Despite numerous measures and repression directed against the Orthodox faith in the Soviet time, the Church of Archangel Michael lasted until the late 1930s. Throughout the Great Patriotic War in the building of the temple housed the pharmaceutical warehouse, and after him there was a dairy factory workshop and warehouse household chemicals. In the summer of 1988 in the ruined temple it was sent to the new rector Yakhimets Andrew, who had previously served in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady in Novaya Ladoga. The man was able to collect a new community, the registration of which took place in 1991. The first priority was to restore the community and the revival of the church of the Archangel Michael. March 22, 1992 in the church held the first liturgy. During 1993 it was carried out major repairs, and in 1995 the church was again consecrated in honor of the Archangel Michael. In 2009, the Church of the Archangel Michael was built a new iconostasis, designed by artist Nikolai Pachkalovym.
