Roman Catholic Church of St. Nicholas of Myra was built in 1899 in pseudo-Gothic style. The material for the construction of the walls of the temple served zhzhёny brick. The main facade of the church is decorated with pointed arch and socket. Above the entrance stands a tower, made in neo-Gothic style, which houses the bell tower, topped by a spire. The entire temple beautifully painted and decorated. The main altar of the church was consecrated in honor of the Dormition of the Mother of God, and the side altars dedicated to St. Stanislaus and the Virgin Mary.

In the 30's, the Catholic church has been completely looted and closed. In 1935 it housed a school, and then used it as a club. To the 80-th years. XX century. church building fell into disrepair. The church looked so dilapidated that it raised the question of the demolition, and at the same place planned construction of the house technology youth. In the 90-ies. the activities of the Catholic Church in Russia is gradually beginning to recover. In August 1991, it was officially registered Catholic parish of the city of Volgograd. In January 1992, the dilapidated church was transferred to the church community. Its restoration lasted five years. The ceremonial consecration of the church in honor of St. Nicholas of Myra was held on May 4, 1997
