Varna Aquarium - an integral part of the Institute of Aquaculture and Fisheries. The building itself was built on the idea of ​​King Ferdinand in 1912. The architectural solution attracts original main facade, which is decorated with bas-reliefs depicting the inhabitants of the underwater world.

Open to the public aquarium was in 1932.

The central hall of the aquarium impressive collection of sea and river inhabitants, each of which is represented in natural conditions for it. Several neighboring halls combined exposure, representing the flora, fauna and specific features of the Black Sea in particular, as well as other seas belonging oceans.

Another two rooms are the prepared representatives of the underwater world, where you can find information on the life and migration of fish, particularly in the region of the Black Sea coast.

In addition, in the Varna Aquarium, you can see different kinds of shells, algae, mussels and microorganisms.

If the aquarium has a library with more than 30 thousand specialized and scientific publications, periodical literature, books that are devoted to hydrochemistry, marine biology, oceanography, fisheries, ichthyology, fishing and fishkeeping industry as a whole.

This aquarium in Varna allows you to observe the behavior of the interesting inhabitants of the Black Sea. Here you can see not only different types of fish, but many mysterious inhabitants of the sea bottom: octopus, clams and jellyfish.
