Alpine Botanical Garden "Paradise", founded in 1955, is located in the National Park "Gran Paradiso" in the Italian region of Val d'Aosta. It got its name because of the paradise lily with delicate white flowers in abundance growing in alpine meadows and mountain pastures. Place Garden - Valnonti - it was not chosen by chance: located at 1,700 meters above sea level, it has a relatively mild climate, the special structure of the soil and has the required number of sunny days. In 1964, near the botanical garden for scientific research of the local flora and fauna Mountain Biological Station was founded, and in 1971 it became part of the scientific department of "Paradise". In addition, the ten huge boulders scattered across the garden, you can see the beautiful and quite rare collection of lichens . As part of a school trip, you can also visit a herbarium, a laboratory and a small thematic library . And for the development of eco-educational aspect of the park in "Paradise" was developed several thematic routes crossing recreated natural ecosystems (steppes, peat bogs, moraines, alder, etc. . d . ) . Each of the routes equipped with information boards . One of the thematic routes - the "black" - runs through the central part of the botanical garden with its rock garden, and the second - "Yellow" - introduces the outlying territories "Paradise" .
