Reserve Djendema located in the hills of Stara Planina, south of Botev peaks. Protected areas considered space including river gorge. Tyzha, watershed district. Biala River and the upper reaches of. Tundzha. Like some other nature reserves in Bulgaria Dzhenzhema protected under the "Man and Biosphere" (UNESCO) and is included in the global network of nature reserves in 1977.

"Djendem" is translated from the Turkish language - hell, hell. This area received the name because of its inaccessibility, steep cliffs, gorges, harsh weather conditions. Despite this, it is home to a large number of wild animals. Here there are bears, deer, wild goats, wolves, etc.

Despite the inaccessibility and the severity of the people of this land have paved a lot of hiking trails and a cherished goal of many tourists is climbing to the top Botev, its height is 2376 m.

The bravest of the tourists are able to see the highest waterfall in Bulgaria - Paradise bryzgalnik (its height is 124, 5 m). To get to the falls and only the nearby tourist center, "Paradise" is possible only on horseback or on foot, because Congestion on the territory Djendema strictly prohibited.
