Mack Brewery in Tromso is the northernmost brewery in the world. Ludwig Mack founded his family business in the autumn of 1877. Like his father, he was educated baker and confectioner. At the age of 35 years, Ludwig founded the brewery, which cost him a large sum in those days - 72 000 kroons, which was very bold project. However, Ludwig was confident of success, and was not mistaken: the brewery soon became the largest industrial enterprise in the city.

During the first few years, the brewery did not even have their own point of sale products are distributed through intermediaries. Ludwig was able to open a company store in the 1890s, only the Mac's. After a while, the name of the Mac became known almost all over the country.
April 9, 1939 a large part of the plant was destroyed by fire, which led to a drop in production of revolutions. After some time, the buildings were rebuilt, was carried out comprehensive modernization and reconstruction, resulting in the production of beer increased again.

The product range of the brewery is a great variety and is constantly expanding. Today, Mack Brewery produces a total of 16 beers and 13 varieties of soft drinks and mineral water. In 2002, the plant celebrated its 125th anniversary. Much has changed over time, but the quality remains at a high level.

During the tour, visitors will learn about the process of making drinks according to old traditional recipes, see the special equipment and, of course, will be able to taste some of the world's most famous beers.
