Reёk Palace is located at the corner of the boulevard and street Lajos Tisza Kolshi. This is a typical example of the so-called "Hungarian Art Nouveau" designed and built by Ede Magyar in 1907. The designer, who died at a young age, worked for only eight years in Szeged. Reёk Palace - it is the result of a long search and travel on major art centers of Europe. On his return to Szeged, he appealed for help in the construction of the palace to engineer Ivan Reёku. Thus, together they were able to implement the ideas based on the experiences of the young designer.
On the facade of the building and the stairs is noteworthy bright decor - beautiful flowers made the sketch artist Edda Magyar Pál Fekete. In general, the building is reminiscent of the work of Antoni Gaudi and is one of the most interesting architectural projects of this style in Europe. Between themselves, the townspeople called Szeged Palace "Quixotic" for the reason that it is located behind the equestrian statue in memory of the heroes of the First World War.
