In Luke, which is an integral part of the city of Sumy, it is a historical monument, which tells about the life of the writer Anton Chekhov - House-Museum Chekhov. The museum is housed in the former manor of landlord families Lintvarevyh. Not all of the six buildings that were once owned Lintvarevyh, waited for our time, remained intact only the manor house, the eastern and western wings. Two years (1888-1889 gg.) To date, three landmarks is only valid Memorial Museum - House Museum of Anton Chekhov, who was inaugurated on January 29, 1960 in honor of the centennial of the birth of the writer. The museum recreates the entire interior of the time and created the appropriate memorial composition. Today, the house-museum of Chekhov invites wooden porch railings. Going further, you can see the front room and five rooms. In today's time in disrepair is the main manor house and the eastern wing, which gradually eroded. While still in the 90s was developed for documentation of project "New life of the old manor house", under which was carried out restoration of cultural monuments, but repair work was suspended because there was no funding from the government.
