Castle Hill in Stavropol - the historic center, a place of the city's founding. The fortress, built in 1777, in his position is central to the chain of fortresses of the Azov-Mozdok defensive line. Readiness fortress was checked by the great Russian commander AV Suvorov. The fortress had the shape of an elongated rectangle placed at the corners of the bastions, a moat and rampart.
