Among the many temples of the Greek island of Skiathos special attention certainly deserves the monastery of Panagia Kehre. It is located in the northwestern part of the island, about 8 km from the administrative center of the island of Skiathos Town and is an important historical and architectural monument of the post-Byzantine period. Today, the monastery of Panagia Kehre is administered by the 7th Department of Byzantine Antiquities.
