Trinity Cathedral was built in 1868. The very first, there was a wooden church at this place even earlier - in 1796. Greek High School, founded in 1826, existed on the basis of this temple. Over time, we decided to dismantle the wooden church and instead build a massive cathedral. And so, in 1868, the congregation could no longer come to the new church.

The Soviets did not just want to close the cathedral. He managed to defend, preserved temple largely through the efforts of the Greek community. But two servant paid with their lives for this rescue - archpriest N.Mezentseva and Simferopol and Crimea Bishop Porfiry shot in 1937-1938. Church canonized in 1997, these priests to the rank of local veneration of the saints.
