Museum of Calligraphy in the emirate of Sharjah - is unique in the Arab world's only museum devoted entirely to the art of writing. It is located in the historic city center in a renovated historic building.

The discovery of the cultural and museum center was held in 2002. The main purpose of the museum - to acquaint locals and visitors of Sharjah with amazing art of calligraphy, as well as to establish new regional and international standards in the industry.

Calligraphy Museum - a real journey to the origins of fine art. Within the walls of the museum are works of many famous artists refined oriental letters (Arabic, Turkish and Persian). In the first room of the museum presents calligraphy books of various genres, written in Arabic, and many photographs. In the second room, visitors can see an exhibition of spectacular gold tie. In the last hall of the museum are true masterpieces of painting with quotations from the Holy Quran and texts of prayers.

Samples of refined letter presented at the museum in various decorative elements and furnishings, using a variety of materials: paper, canvas, wood, and even ceramic. Decorated in a special frame, these works are a real work of art, and some of them at times very reminiscent of modern graffiti.
