Tomb of Demir Baba is located on the territory of historical and archaeological reserve "Sboryanovo." Territorial Reserve is located in the west of the plateau Ludogorie (Riverlands Krapinets river, between the villages of Sveshtari and Malak Porovets). The complex consists of ancient settlements, cemeteries and shrines.

The place of worship is the tomb-mausoleum for himself it is considered sacred by representatives of Alevi (second name - Qyzylbashs). Their beliefs and practices are different from the conventional Muslim rites. So, they are revered tombs of their saints, called turbot. Demir Baba (in Turkish means "Iron Father") is one of those saints.

Precise data on the identity of Demir Baba did not survive. Local residents reported that he lived in the 16th century. About him, his strength and his marvels of created many legends.

Demir Baba's Tomb was built in the 17th century on the site is sacred in all the local people for 2 thousand. Years before the construction of the mausoleum. Christians also belong to this place with respect. Legend has it that there once were consistently Thracian sanctuary later - Bulgarian temple, then Christian monastery.
