Embankment near Aker Brygge - the most popular place for rest and walks in Oslo, located in the city. In 1982. after closing the shipyards here accelerated pace began construction of a modern fashionable district. Expensive restaurants and cafes, entertainment venues and shops, residential and office buildings made of glass, metal and bricks grew along the waterfront for several years. On the ship's last area today resembles a pair of industrial buildings. Opposite the promenade, you can see the old fort fortress Akerskhurs.
Aker Brygge attracts not only tourists but also locals come here in good weather to stroll along the harbor, to sit at the table of a restaurant-barges, listen to outdoor concerts and simply watch the sunset while enjoying an idyllic environment.
