Monument "The sailor with a grenade", located in Novorossiysk on the main avenue - one of the city's attractions. The place for the installation of the monument was chosen not by chance, it was here in March 1943 and took the first line of defense. The grand opening of the monument "The sailor with a grenade" held on September 16 1972 and was timed to the 29th anniversary of the liberation of Novorossiysk from the Nazi troops.
