In the western part of the small village of Pera Chorio, which is only 15 kilometers south of Nicosia, is a small church of the Holy Apostles, which is one of the many attractions of the region. The church, but rather the chapel was built in the XII century during the reign of the island francs. For its construction were used blocks of stone mined near the village itself.

In 1913, a court chapel turned into a cemetery where they buried the villagers. The first person buried in it was the priest of Pera Chorio. Despite the presence of the cemetery every year on June 29 at the church organize a bright festival.

Now the Church of the Holy Apostles is under the protection of the Department of Archaeology of Cyprus as a monument of culture and architecture.
